During this project, Jorge Orta worked with the hospital residents from the Robert Giffard Psychiatric Hospital Canada and local artists from the Quebec based Folie/Culture, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and disseminating information about mental health. Together they created a series of painted canvases based on the symbol of the heart (Life Nexus). The canvases were transformed into individual units that could be connected onto the Connector Mobile Village structure. The pattern of the unit was based on the security blankets, which are used to avoid patients harming themselves. A performance of the resulting Connector sculptures was held inside the hospital, with local dancers, to promote reflection on painful social issues and raise public awareness.
